Full House Refurbishment
London
Our clients bought this house in Beckenham to be their family home, but it was in a tired state and in need of refurbishment. The house was completely stripped internally and an impressive double height entrance lobby with feature glazed gable was added to the front elevation.
Other key parts of the design brief were to provide a large open plan space for family living with defined areas for the kitchen, dining and lounge areas. This space opens up completely to the garden via several large glass sliding doors and solar shading is provided via an external louvered veranda. The new layouts also incorporate a playroom, two home offices, a master suite, family and guest bedrooms with bathrooms and ensuites alongside plenty of utility and storage spaces.
We received planning permission for the full house redesign and worked closely with the contractor throughout the construction process. In addition to the architectural design we also provided a full interior package for the renovations. Every aspect of the interior was given full attention and we created a bright and airy feel with a neutral colour palette, adding interest with natural timber textures.
