Private Therapy Centre Refurbishment

Our clients are a charity looking to relocate their premises to obtain more space  to run their therapy services and support centre in the local community. The project involves the refurbishment of an existing commercial unit, with the design providing individual therapy rooms, staff offices and a multi-functional event space for the local community.

We worked closely with the charity to develop the design of the interior spaces. The therapy rooms have a homely feel with a calm, neutral colour palette, soft textures and warm timber features. As a constant flow of people are expected to be using the centre, the materials selected are durable, easy to maintain and to keep clean, without looking too clinical. Privacy and acoustic performance were crucial so we carefully considered the specification of the wall and ceiling constructions using ribbed felt cladding on the walls and perforated timber acoustic panels on the ceilings.
